Kristen is a Cincinnati native and 36-year resident of Mt. Washington. She and Anton were intentional about investing in their own neighborhood. Sweets & Meats BBQ has been serving their community since 2014.

Anton Gaffney, Co-Founder & Chief Operating Officer
Anton is originally from New York and relocated to Cincinnati, Ohio in 2003. He learned everything he knows about BBQ at his grandfather's knee. What he didn't know, he's learned by way of self discipline, research, trial & error and devotion to his passion for BBQ.

We are long time residents of Mt. Washington and it's our privilege to give back to the community we live in and serve. Sweets & Meats BBQ is known for supporting local non-profits, specifically with a focus on education. We offer our support financially, give our time, and through making food and gift certificate donations on a regular basis.
In 2020, amidst the pandemic, we were recognized for our leadership, being resilient, and staying committed to serving our community. We were one of 3 restaurants selected locally by the James Beard Foundation and were awarded with a $15,000 grant.
We were also recognized by the UC Goering Center as a 2020 Family Business Honoree and Anton Gaffney, our Co-Founder and COO, received the coveted Rising Leader award.
